Time flies

Another thing that I saw used last week that I will be using is a timer within powerpoint. I always ask a group to do something within a time period and this is a great way of getting them to focus.

When I have the slide I will upload it here.

Library Blockbusters

Hi

At the Teachmeet we talked a lot about inductions and how to make dry information interesting. We also like the idea of a bit of competition when we were playing bingo.

I was at a trainers day event last week where Library blockbusters was suggested as useful for inductions. There is a site that does it all for you, just come up with the questions.

I also think that this could be used at the end of a session for evaluating what has been learnt during a session.

Has anyone tried this before or has any other suggestions?

Sam

Places available at this event

There are still places available at the Manchester Library Teachmeet taking place Tuesday 17 January.

You can book your place here.

If the thought of exchanging tips and experiences with colleagues in the profession isn’t enough then maybe you will be tempted by the free refreshments and lunch that is kindly being provided by the CSG Information Literacy Group.
